The Fortune Telling Robot (御神籤祠)

This little shrine, jap. hokora is inhabited by the Space Bambi deity, which enacts as an Arduino programmed fortune telling robot. It includes a touch sensor, thermal sensor, biofeedback and a thermal printer. The hokora is made out of laser cut shiba wood and salted rusty iron legs.
After praying to the Space Bambi deity, the visitor is asked to place the finger on the doorbell button – instead of calling the deity with a bell as commonly done at a shrine. According to the individual data, the spirit of the robot channels the fortune information from the universal consciousness data and delivers it as a receipt. The fortune receipt is the entrance ticket to the Space Bambi Show and the application download image for the exhibition. A divination emergency hotline is included as well. 2016-2018
